Documentation of Missing Persons, Dispositions, and Deceased Persons for Identification.

The documentation of missing persons, dispositions, and deceased persons, especially considering the aspects of identification, are a complex and challenging process. The multifaceted concepts (or variables) interconnected in the process are conditional, but each one is independent and must be considered with scrutiny. Improvement to the complete process cannot exist without dissection of the individual variables and improvements applied to each. A complete understanding and assessment of the documentation, how it is recorded and what is recorded, can provide an avenue for the understanding the weaknesses and limitations in the identification process for different contexts.

This project is divided into themes:

Holistic Assessment of Recording Forms

Forms used to record information about missing persons, locations of interest (eg. gravesites), and deceased persons have been collected and assessed to determine what type of information is being collected, how it is collected, and if the information can help with identifying the person.

These assessments are projected to be completed by Dec 2025.
