Kristy A Winter is a certified Forensic Anthropologist with the hiccups (RAI FAIII). They received their Masters at Queensland University of Technology in 2019, with the focus on developing equations to assist with the identification of Australian missing persons from their skeletons. Furthering their education, Kristy is currently completing their Doctorate at Griffith University.


Kristy is a Forensic Specialist for the International Committee of the Red Cross, having previously worked for the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, Committee of Missing Persons on Cyprus, Aditu Arkeologia, the International Criminal Court, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, Queensland Health, the Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology, and interned for the Forensic Anthropology Center and Operation Identification at Texas State University.


Interested in boosting the understanding of science related to identifications, they previously presented a TEDx talk and published editorials in Science and TalkDeath.
